Here at the Charlotte Library we are proud of the history and character of our small town. Below you will find some fun, interesting facts about our town!

History

  • Established in 1808 in Dickson County

  • Named after Charlotte Reeves Robertson

  • Struck by damaging tornado on May 30, 1830 which destroyed most of the town

Geography

  • Located in the hills between Dickson and Ashland City

  • A small stream, Town Branch, runs through the town

 

Area: 1.7 Sq. Miles

Population: 1,244 (2011 census)

Time Zone: Central
